This video made me hunger and wanting to play classic video games. I don't know why? :) Lots of fun to watch and well done.

The Original Human TETRIS

I wasted a large amount of time in University playing Tetris. I still play it occasionally but not like I used to. It was fun to watch this video, and of course I had to go and play Tetris for a little while after I saw it. I had nothing better to do tonight anyways.

Super Manrio kart parody of Super Mario Kart

Stop motion videos are just fun to watch and this one is no exception. Nothing like a parody of Super Mario Cart as the back drop for a video. A fun game by the way, have not played it in a long time.

Googol 333

A fun stop motion music video. The video features over 4000 pictures. They have some very neat effects in the video. The part I liked the best was how the made it look like he went through glass walls. It looked very cool. Amazing how our minds fill in what we think should be there, even if we know it is not possible.

Hall Of The Motion King

It is always interesting when music is combined with stop motion photography. Well it is to me at least. I wish the video page had more detail about how they made the video, but not this time.

Bowling for Sandercoe

What a great Lego animation! It reminded me of the Big Lebowski, except without any of the swearing. You have to love the guitar music in the video as well. It was composed for the video according to the description on YouTube. The video is in response to a contest, in case you were wondering what the guitar reference in the video is about.

Skidmarks 3: Burnin' Asphalt

This is a fun stop-motion animation. Nothing like a race between friends as they go through their school. I wonder if this was a class project that they created this for. Whatever the reason they created it they did a good job.

Paper vs. Paper

This is a fun stop-motion animation. I am sure we have all wondered how paper gets along with other paper while we are gone. No wonder my office is such a mess. It is not my fault it is the papers fault.

A Mario Kart Parody

This is great. It is a stop motion animation that is a parody of Mario Cart. They did a great job, and they even had some time to through in a little bit of a story line. You have to watch to the very end to know what I am talking about.

The Letter - Animated Lego Film!

Looks like it is a stop motion animation day today. A very well done Lego animation. It almost seems like the main Lego character actually has expressions as he goes to mail his letter. It is a pretty impressive video considering it is recorded with a web camera.

Cardboard Box Race

I don't read to many other blogs, I just don't have time for it, but today I visited blog called "Say No to Crack" and they had this video on the front page. I thought the video was very well done so here it is. You have to love some of the things people are doing with stop motion animation these days. The ability for the average person to be able to create a video like this is great.

NO Boundaries

A snowman that has to break out of his boundaries to recover his lost nose. This animation is very well done. I have to admire the people that do animation like this. I would never have the patience to create a video like this. I want it done now and the thought of taking hundreds, thousands or more photos just makes my head spin.

I Can't Believe It's Christmas

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday and taking some time to relax and visit with family. I was not planning on posting a video today, but I saw this one and thought it only takes a few minutes. Some great music in this video for the holiday and some great images including a house that decorates itself. Where can I get one of those?

Also, during this time of the year don't forget to help those that perhaps don't have enough. Help support your local food banks and charities with your time and money.

Merry Christmas!

Stop Motion

Anyone that has been visiting here for a little while knows by now that I enjoy stop motion videos, especially when they have people in them. The medium has a unique look and feel that you don't get from other special effects. This is a new unique stop motion animation from "The Last Laugh" and I enjoyed the uniqueness of the video hope you do to.

Lunch Time Trouble

This is just the kind of video I can handle today. I have come down with a very nasty flu and I was sure that my lunch cup was doing exactly what this guys cups is doing. Things are weird when you have a fever.

ReAl CoLA

A fake commercial made using stop motion animation. The description says they used over 700 images. I don't know if I would buy the cola but I enjoyed the video.

Sandwich Box

This is a commercial but it is a fun commercial, if you like stop motion animation and food. Two things I happen to like. It is a pretty creative commercial, beats the Subway commercials with that Jared guy in my opinion.

My Animated World

Here is a fun stop motion animation. You have to like the video game sounds that they used. While this is certainly enjoyable, the Art of Motion stop motion video I think is probably a little better.

Human Pong

Another video game I was good at as a kid. I even remember having a pong game machine. It was so cool at the time, then Intelivision and Atari consoles came out and the pong machine got put away. How many hours did I waste playing games like this. It was fun at the time anyways. This is another human stop motion animation, like the Space Invaders video I posted earlier in the week. Just fun stuff.

Game Over

Some classic video games redone using stop motion animation. My favourite was the frogger one, I really sucked at that game for some reason, could never get him across safely. Oh well.

Time for some stop motion fun with a string. Who knew that a string could be so much fun.

Balance

Here is a stop motion animation this morning. It still amazes me that you can find such award winning material. I really don't know what to say about this video really, except it is as grey as the day outside.

From the description:
This stop-motion video from the two Lauenstein brothers, which was filmed in their parents cellar, won several prices:

1989 Viewers-Choice Award at the Hamburg No-Budget Film Festival
In the same year it won a prize at the Annecy Film Festival and was awarded as Best Short Movie at the German International Film Festival

1990 it won an Oscar as Best Animated Short Movie

Sick & Pawnfidence

Here are two stop motion animations by Keith Lennon. The first video "Sick" depicts the Shel Silverstein book of the same name and is Keith Lennon's first animation. The second video "Pawnfidence" is the story of a pawn in a chess game. The pawn narrates the game as it goes along and gives an idea of how it feels to be a pawn in the game.

Sick

Pawnfidence

Warning: I heard many foul words. You have been warned.

Welcome to the Funny Farm

I used to listen to this song when I was a kid. Maybe I should not post that, oh well, it is true. What makes this video fun to watch is the editing. It has a stop motion feel to it. I thought this is a great video to start the work week off with. That is how I have been feeling lately.

The Art of Motion

Stop motion photography and film is such a difficult art, at least I think it is. Usually you see it used with claymation, not with people. This video is just plain fun and really shows some great creativity IMHO.
