This floppy disk drive has soon pretty good talent! First printers playing classic music, now floppy drives playing Star Wars. What is next hard drives playing metal?
Emperor Palpatine has his own video blog where he answers your questions. This is episode one. It is really quite funny. This week. What Jedi was the biggest wuss? Watch the video to find out.
This is great! Who ever thought of dressing up as Darth Vader and a Storm trooper and dancing in the streets is a genius, ok maybe not a genius but they will be famous on YouTube. What a riot! I wonder if they will travel around the world like "Where the hell is Matt" and dance?
Usually I try not to post videos from video games, but this one is an exception because it is well done, is Lego and Star Wars. It does not get any better than that. The song also just adds to the video. I have never heard it before. It sounds sort of like Wierd Al but I can't be sure. If anyone knows more about the song leave a comment.
How is it possible that I have not seen this video until today? It just does not seem possible since it combines two of my favourite movies, yet it is true. I discovered it by using StumbleUpon. Nothing like a good mashup of Monty Python and Star Wars to bring a smile to my face.
For all of you Lego fans out there. I thought this was a really cool stop motion animation of the creation of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. They were pretty creative with the way the pieces came on screen.
Chad has one hour to get his job back and get rid of Clint? Can he do it in time? Blame Society Productions is back with Chad Vader Episode 7. Another good installment in the series. They do a few more references to the Star Wars movies in this episode that made me laugh.
A very well done Lego Star Wars film. This short animated film is done so will you will almost think you are watching an old newsreel information film. You can find out more about this video at Brick Films.
From the description:
After the rise of the new empire, following the events of Episode III, the Imperial Navy produced propaganda films to raise morale about the rise in military power. Produced and narrated by Grand Moff Tarkin, this is the last remaining copy of those films.
Take Darth Vader scenes from Star Wars and dub in James Earl Jones lines from other movies. Makes for an amusing combination. It is possibly the funniest Darth Vader edit that I have seen since it has James Earl Jones voice, who is the voice of Darth Vader. I think my favourite scene is with Princess Leia in front of Darth Vader. I have not laughed that hard in a little while.
The sequel to Ryan vs Dorkman. These guys choreograph an incredible lightsaber duel along with some fantastic special effects. This is almost as good as the duels in the new Star Wars movies, and you don't have to sit through a bunch of bad storyline to get to it.
Warning: This is violent. Might not be appropriate for kids.
Chad Vader returns! In this episode Chad discovers that his destiny is not doing various meaningless jobs, but it is at Empire market. Meanwhile at Empire market, Chad's friends long for his return as they live under the oppression of Clint.
This is certainly different. A reenactment of the attack on the death star from Star Wars done with just hands. They get an A for creativity, and it sounds good. They must have used music from the original soundtrack.
A Star Wars fan film that I came across a little while ago. It is done pretty well. I like the little ad that they have in it near the end, it gave me a chuckle. I don't want to give it away so you will have to watch the video this time.
Chad Vader is back in episode 5 just in time for Christmas. This episode we see the aftermath of Chad Vader after leaving his job at the supermarket and losing his girlfriend to his archenemy. Things are looking pretty low for Chad until an unlikely person comes to his aid.
This is great! Nothing like making the three original Star Wars films into a very quick silent movie. With some of the bad writing that exists in the movies they might actually be better as silent movies. Let's face it with lines like "You're our only hope" and "I've got a bad feeling about this" they are not exactly Shakespeare.
While I prefer the original version of "Who's on First" this short version featuring Yoda and Jar Jar Binks has its moments. I was impressed with how well the voices seemed to synch up with the Star Wars characters.
Strange Brew and Star Wars makes for a interesting combination. This is perhaps one of the funniest mashups I have seen in a long time. I have been a fan of Bob and Doug and Strange Brew for a long time. I remember staying up and watching them on SCTV when I was a kid and who does not like Star Wars. Hope you enjoy them.
Someone has way to much time on their hands! I don't know what is worse the fact that someone has enough time to make this video, or the fact that I took three minutes out of my day to watch it and then a couple minutes to write this post up and add it to Video Rambler. Oh well, to late now, you will have to decide. Aside from the earlier rant, the animation is not so bad and it is fun to watch what they did with the action figures.
The continuing saga of Chad Vader night shift manager. There are some big changes in store for Chad in this episode. If you have not seen the previous episodes they are available on these previous posts: Episode 1, Episode 2, Episode 3. Looking forward to the new episodes.
More Star Wars here today. You have to like it when people can edit down a movie to 60 seconds. Makes it so much easier to watch it when you are busy and backed up with work.
I have been in a bit of a Star Wars mood lately, as you have probably noticed by some of my posts. Found this video the other night and came across it again so here it is. This video takes scenes from the original Star Wars movies and blends them with the Duel of the Fates from The Phantom Menace.
I don't watch the Simpsons very often anymore, but I do catch the odd video on the internet. Came across this one and laughed here today. Nothing like a good duel between Bart and Principal Skinner to make you laugh.
Episode 3 of Chad Vader. He is now the night shift manager and has some very interesting run ins with customers. Watch episode 2 and episode 1 as well.
Part one of Padawan John. Padawan John is a Star Wars fan-made trilogy of short films about a Jedi Padawan who is not very good at what he does. In Episode III.I we are introduced to Padawan John, Master Bai Teur and Cadmium.
This Star Wars fan film reminded me of Clerks for some reason. I think it was the style of writing. It also had a touch of the classic Monty Python bring out your dead scene from the Holy Grail.
The poor used car salesman in this video, they just sit back at the end and laugh at the whole thing. Very creative though. I wonder if it was part of a TV show or something. It has a TV prank show feel to it.
Time for a Lego Star Wars animation. These are not so much Lego animations as they are computer animations, with the characters looking like Legos. This is a fun one though. I have enjoyed it many times already today.
Sorry about missing Monday everyone. I was away and could not get to a computer long enough to get a post in. I'll try and make up for it today. To start today we have the Star Wars theme song being played on a banjo. Thought it was pretty creative and he plays it well, although I must admit I had trouble telling that it was the Star Wars theme just because it was being played on a banjo.
This video has been in my draft folder for awhile. I don't know why I have not posted it until now. Perhaps becuase I saw this video quite a while ago and thought most people have probably seen it by now. It is a great video though of impressions of various stars doing screen tests for Star Wars characters. My favourite is the last one. I won't give it away, you will have to watch to see who it is.
A very well done Lego animation of the trailer from Star Wars Episode III. I have to wonder if they did the whole movie would it be better? Probably not, they would have to get a better script. Episode III was better than the first two anyways.
A music video featuring an extended version of Duel of the Fates and lightsaber battles from all of the Star Wars movies. It was fun to watch this evening. Makes me want to watch Star Wars now.
Darth Vader has a new job, as day manager of a grocery store, and things are not going so well. Reminds me of a former employer I had at one time, but that is another story. I thought they did a pretty good job of the voice of Darth Vader, wonder how they did that.
A mash up of Goodfellas and Star Wars. It is around nine and a half minutes long so hope you have a few minutes to watch. It pretty much follows Anakin Skywalker and his life towards the Dark Side in a film noir sort of soliloquy.
A fun spoof of The Matrix. You can learn more about this fan film at their website www.matrix-xp.com, plus they have high quality downloads of the video.
A Batman fan film by Sandy Collora. Batman finds himself between a rock and hard place when he is chasing after The Joker. According to the date on Google Video this has been around for a while, but it is new to me so hopefully you enjoy it. I thought it is very well done.
I don't spend a lot of time on Digg.com, but once in awhile I check in there to see what is interesting, and now that they have a videos section I find it more interesting. Today, I came across this post about a public service advertisement that featured the cantina from Star Wars. Thought it was pretty funny so I wanted to post it.
Just when I was not sure what I was going to post today I find a great video. The video is roughly 20 minutes long. It is suppose to be Han Solo on trial but I have to wonder if it is more George Lucas on trial for the changes he made in the various changes in Star Wars.
I needed a Star Wars fix this morning, and came across this really funny video showing what it might be like for the Emperor to be out there looking for a job.
