The Flying Steamroller

This is something you don't see everyday. Apparently this is considered art. This was "exhibited at the South London Gallery between 2nd & 18th October 2006". I don't know if I would consider it art but it is fun to see.

Process Enacted: by Jordan C Greenhalgh

Take 987 polaroids and create a video that is pretty amazing to watch. I would never have the patience to do this. A very well done video.

From the description:

How to Paint the Mona Lisa with MS Paint

This is incredible. I did not think it was possible to do anything this elaborate with MS Paint. I suppose it depends how talented the person is that is at the computer. I won't be trying this anytime soon.

Chainsaw Craft - Making an Owl Sculpture

It amazes me how a artist can see and create something unique from a piece of stone, wood etc. The artist in this case uses a chainsaw and creates a very nice and detailed owl sculpture.

A Flatpack Project by John Haddon

This animated short is one of the more artistic videos I have seen a awhile. The style is unique, it almost looks like the whole thing is drawn in charcoal. A fantastic video!

Flight Patterns

There are some videos that I honestly don't know what to write about. This is one of those videos. I is so interesting and unique that I don't know what to say about it. Honestly who knew that watching animations of flight traffic could be so interesting.

From the description of the video:
Data from the U.S. Federal aviation administration is used to create animations of flight traffic patterns and density by artist Aaron Koblin

puzzle

This time-lapse video of four panels being painted is really quite amazing. Not only do they create some wonderful looking art, but I thought it was really interesting when they moved the panels around and started a new picture. It was really interesting to see what they came up with.

Tyger

What a strange video. I have watched it several times and I am still not sure what to make of it. It is interesting in some ways and just weird in others. I might have to watch it a few more times.

Ars Robota

A great computer animated short film showing that robots can be artists too. There are renderings of some classic pieces of art in this short, and the robot does some great work on some of them. Very creative work

Orchid and the Rose

This is a work of art. The animation of the flowers is so real that you almost believe that they are real. Add in a great sound track and this video is art in motion. Absolutely incredible!
